About Reed Huyette
Reed began riding at an early age in horse country near Philadelphia PA, starting with riding and showing hunter ponies and then progressed to barn management and lesson instruction through high school.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science (Cum Laude) in Equestrian Science from Lake Erie College, she moved to southern California to work as a trainer in Palos Verdes, CA. From there she was recruited as an assistant dressage trainer, teaching at private barns and as a guest trainer throughout the region for 18 years.
Reed became certified as Saddle Fitter by the Master Saddler Association in 2012 and represents many custom saddle brands, working from her property on San Juan Island where she relocated to full-time in 2017 and teaches riding lessons and holds clinics for equestrian clients.
